2019-20 Scholarship Agreement & Thank You Letter

Dear Scholarship Recipient,

This form establishes an agreement between the Rogue Community College Foundation and the scholarship recipient named here for funds awarded for the 2019-20 academic year (July 2019 - June 2020). Scholarship funds are first used toward tuition, fees, and books for enrollment at Rogue Community College. Any excess balance is refunded to the recipient to be used toward the cost of living while enrolled, In the event that eligibility is not maintained, funds will be returned to the Foundation.

If you have been awarded more than one scholarship, you must complete a separate Thank You for each by the deadline specified in the email you received. Your scholarship(s) will be cancelled if you do not meet this deadline.

It is understood that if the scholarship recipient does not meet the conditions agreed to in this form or continue to meet the scholarship eligibility criteria, scholarship funds will be forfeited. All scholarships require that you maintain a minimum grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.5 and complete at least 6 credits per term unless otherwise noted on the scholarship. To view the criteria for the scholarship you have been awarded, please visit the 2019-20 Scholarship Awards on our website.

Should you have any questions, please contact the RCC Foundation at rccfoundation@roguecc.edu (link sends e-mail) or 541-956-7293.

The RCC Foundation agrees to:

  • Inform the scholarship recipient of all conditions that affect the acceptance of the scholarship.
  • Release the funds in a timely manner to the student's RCC tuition account, approximately one week prior to each term.
  • Inform each scholarship recipient of any changes which may affect the scholarship.

The Scholarship Recipient agrees to:

  • Submit the following Scholarship Agreement and Thank You Letter no later than the date on your award email.
  • Inform the RCC Foundation of any changes in academic or financial aid status or if you plan to not be enrolled at RCC.

Sincerely,
Anna Manley

Personal Information
Scholarship Agreement
Scholarship Eligibility

I agree to meet the scholarship eligibility criteria for the scholarship I received which is posted at https://roguecc.awardspring.com

Change in Status

I agree to inform the RCC Foundation of any changes to my academic status or financial aid status, or times when I will not be enrolled at RCC.

Authorization to Share

If I am awarded a scholarship, I hereby give Rogue Community College Foundation permission to publish any scholarship award I receive, listing my name, hometown, name and amount of the scholarship, and biographical summary. I authorize Rogue Community College Foundation to share copies of my thank you responses, application essays, college major and degree with donors. Further, unless a written statement to the contrary is filed with the Foundation office, all scholarship recipients give authorization to Rogue Community College to publish photographs of themselves for promotional purposes.

Volunteer Opportunities

Scholarship recipients often ask what they can do to express their gratitude for the financial support and generosity they have received. The Foundation welcomes students to help us with some of our special activities. We will contact you during the year to let you know what volunteer opportunities are available. An hour or more of your time can make a big difference. Thank you!

Donor/Recipient Meeting

Historically, the RCC Foundation has held a Scholarship Awards Reception to both celebrate your award and give your donor a chance to meet you. That group setting makes it a bit hard to get to know each other. So, this year, we’ll be hosting private meetings. Some donors will request to meet with you, in which case I’ll be in contact with you to set that up. Other donors have passed away, so are not available. If you’d like to meet your donor, simply let me know and I’ll be happy to assist, when possible, in hosting your connection.

RCC Foundation Scholarship Thank You Letter

This is a step-by-step guide to help you construct your thank you letter. We encourage you to be thoughtful about your response, as we send your letters to donors and supporters of your scholarship.

Note: Please write your responses in Microsoft Word first to ensure well written and "typo-free" responses and to save a copy of your letter. Then paste your responses to the corresponding paragraph.

Again, congratulations on being chosen as a scholarship recipient and if you have any questions, please contact us at rccfoundation@roguecc.edu (link sends e-mail) or call 541-956-7293.
